5 new fashion brand collaborations with sports stars, a championship and even a city

The end of summer and the beginning of fall gave us many new alliances of fashion and sports. This proves the global trend of merging the two worlds that seemed so distant before. The result is not only commercial projects, but also some social ones.
Lewis Hamilton X Valentino
The motor racer is the hero of the brand’s new campaign alongside actress Zendaya. “Lewis believes in what he does and demonstrates it with effortlessness. I couldn’t think of a better hero for this campaign,” said Valentino’s creative director.
Lewis is not only seen on the posters, but he also chooses to wear the clothes himself for other shoots: in a bow from the same collection, he appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
Armani Exchange X Municipality of Milan
Italian brand Armani Exchange sponsored the Municipality of Milan to revitalize and revitalize five ordinary basketball courts in suburban areas. All courts received their own unique design and new equipment.
“The project demonstrates Giorgio Armani’s connection with basketball and is part of the brand’s extensive dialog with the city, expressed through initiatives that positively impact the lives of its inhabitants,” say the company’s representatives.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic X Dsquared2
Legendary soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now collaborating with Dsquared2. The Milan superstar presented a joint collection with the brand, which is easily recognizable by the inscription Ibra Icon, street wear aesthetics and confident, like Zlatan himself, black and white color scheme.
The lineup includes items in black color only. One of the T-shirts bears the phrase “Only god can judge me” – the same motto is tattooed on the Swedish striker’s body. The line includes both sportswear, such as joggers, T-shirts and baseball caps, and formalwear, such as wool coats, blazers, jackets with leather sleeves and merino knitwear.
Zegna X “Real”
Italian company Zenga and Real Madrid have announced a partnership. The brand has become the official outfitter of the Spanish club. Zenga clothing will now be worn by players for official events while traveling.
“Every king needs his own tailor” – this is the slogan the companies have chosen to promote the joint project. The luxury closet will be unveiled on September 30 in Madrid at an event dedicated to the new partnership. Following the presentation, a series of bespoke pieces combining the heritage of the two brands will be available in select Zegna boutiques around the world.
Tiffany & Co and League of Legends
The jewelry brand, which has been creating cups and trophies for more than 160 years, unveiled an award for this year’s League of Legends World Championship. The trophy took more than 277 hours to create. The award was made in a jewelry workshop in Cumberland, England.
The trophy weighs about 20 kilograms and is over 70 centimeters high. The bowl of the cup is made in the shape of a pentagon, where the bases stand for roles in the cybersport League of Legends. All previous winners are engraved on the stand.
