Checklist: packing a gym bag

Fitness gym classes are still one of the most popular types of physical activity. That’s why many of us have faced the problem when you come to the gym and realize that you didn’t bring something. To make such situations less frequent, we’ve prepared a checklist so you won’t miss out on the essentials.

A wristband or card to enter the gym

Something without which a fitness trip could end before it even begins. If you don’t already have a membership, you’ll need a passport to get one.

Sneakers

Sneakers with a comfortable and stable sole. If you work out on the track, take running shoes.

Socks

After each workout you need to change them, just in case, it is better to have a couple of spare ones with you.

Headband

Those with long hair need an elastic band, otherwise it will get in the way of your workout. Those with short haircuts will benefit from a headband to keep fine strands and sweat out of their eyes and out of their way.

Water bottle

Most gyms have phased out single-use plastic cups – and now they’re banned due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is therefore essential to bring your own bottle. It is better to give preference to glass or metal (stainless steel). Because the plastic bottles in which water is sold in the store, it is not recommended to reuse.

Towel and shower accessories

After the gym, it’s a good idea to take a shower. Not only will this wash away the sweat from your workout, but it will also relieve fatigue.

Flip-flops

They are needed not only for those who work out in the pool. To rinse off after class and not be afraid of slippery floors, don’t forget a pair of flip-flops.

Fitness tracker

This item is not mandatory, but a special bracelet or smartwatch will help you track calories spent and heartbeat, control the intensity of workouts.

Swimsuit and cap for the pool

Bikini is better left for beach vacation, and in the pool to give preference to a closed version. It will not fall down and interfere. It is also worth wearing a cap (in most pools it is a must), so that the hair does not get in the way and does not deteriorate from the effects of chlorinated water.

And if swimming is part of your training, it’s worth getting goggles.

Cotton T-shirt

It’s worth favoring clothes made of natural materials to keep your skin breathing during your workout.

Pants or shorts

Pay attention not to free variants, but, for example, to elastic pants. They will not cling to the exercise equipment and get in the way during exercise.
