Minus 7-8 kilograms in 5 days. The doctor told about the benefits and harms of the “ladder” diet

The “ladder” diet is a strict restrictive eating regimen that combines the effect of five monodiets at once. It promises rapid weight loss in just five days. However, you should keep in mind the health risks.

Principles of the diet

Deciding on such a meal plan, it is necessary to be sure to take into account that it is not suitable for everyone. In fact, it is a system of several types of fairly rigid monodiets, which allows you to significantly reduce weight in five days.

Tatiana Frolova

Endocrinologist at the clinic “Bud Zdorov at Frunzenskaya”.

“As the name suggests, such a diet involves several stages – steps.”

Diet “ladder” is a system of not too hearty, but effective nutrition, which allows you to lose weight in a short period of time. The main rule of this system is to use specific products on strictly defined days.

It is impossible to change the sequence of stages, otherwise you can not lose weight and the expected result will not be.

During the diet “ladder” you need to eat as much as possible fractionally, every few hours, divide the daily ration into five to seven meals. After the fifth day, remove restrictions should be as comfortable as possible for the body, smoothly.

An important rule – in the first two weeks, a ban on the use of fatty, sweet and flour.

Before starting the diet, it is necessary to define six stages for yourself – it is better to draw them in different colors on paper: each stage is dedicated to a certain goal. For the purpose of motivation at each stage it is necessary to describe the diet for each day and the kilograms lost per day.

At the last stage – as the result of the entire diet – you should indicate the total number of kilograms lost.

Example menu of the diet “ladder”

The first day

The first day of the diet is aimed at cleansing the body of toxins and toxins, excretion of excess fluid. For detoxification, you can use natural charcoal.

It is also important to drink a lot of clean water without gas – at least 2 liters – and every three hours take one or two tablets of activated charcoal, not forgetting to drink plenty of water. You can eat one apple, divided into slices.

Second day

On the second day after intensive cleansing, you need to restore the work of the intestines. To do this, it is recommended to include in the diet fermented milk products – 1 liter of fat-free kefir, 500 g of cottage cheese.

Do not forget to drink plenty of clean water.

Meals should be divided into two or three times, so as not to overload the stomach. It is necessary to completely exclude sweet products. Instead of sugar in kefir or cottage cheese, you can add natural vanilla or cinnamon.

Third day

On the third day, you need to replenish the energy requirements of the body. This will help to normalize metabolic processes and minimize stress for the body.

At this stage, our body will come to the aid of fructose. Carbohydrate balance will restore natural sweets – you can eat up to 300 g of dried fruits: first of all raisins, apricots, prunes, pears. It is allowed to add one or two teaspoons of honey or dissolve it in water.

Also allowed compote of dried fruits, but necessarily without sugar. And drink clean water – at least 1.5 liters.

Fourth day

The fourth day of the diet is tolerated more easily, because the diet includes boiled meat of chicken or turkey – without skin (it is important!). Due to the intake of protein into the body will be a feeling of satiety.

A mandatory option – a large amount of greens: green salad, rucola, dill, parsley, cilantro, rosemary, basil, celery and others. You can add them as a garnish to meat or make a salad – but without dressing. Meals are fractional, two to three times a day.

Fifth day

The last stage of the diet is fat burning. In the diet should include oatmeal – about 200 g, they are better steamed overnight, not cooked, plus any fruits and vegetables – about 1 kg in total.

Of them choose the least caloric, and it is definitely not bananas and grapes.

Among vegetables, preference should be given to cabbage of all kinds, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, pumpkin. But it is better to exclude potatoes. Vegetables can not only be eaten raw, but also stewed, baked, boiled. Due to the presence of complex carbohydrates and vitamins in the menu, the body will get enough energy, and the feeling of hunger will not bother.

Pros of the diet “ladder”

The temporary result of such a diet is a sharp weight loss.

Such a meal plan involves reducing the amount of carbohydrates consumed with food and strictly limiting the diet, which significantly affects weight loss.

Minuses of the diet “ladder”

In connection with a strictly limited diet (which, in fact, is a hunger strike) and the need to cleanse the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) in the first stages of the diet there is a probability of digestive disorders. Symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain and discomfort may occur.

If they persist for a long time, you need to stop the diet, so as not to cause subsequent complications in the form of gastritis, colitis and other GI problems.

At the third stage, the restriction of carbohydrates can cause the appearance of dizziness and weakness. Here it is allowed to include dried fruits in the diet, which can improve well-being.

Moreover, due to strict dietary restrictions, psychological discomfort may arise.

It is important to know the main rule for all diets – they are allowed only to healthy people who do not have chronic diseases, among which are cardiovascular, endocrine, kidney diseases. Also in pregnancy or breastfeeding, any dietary restrictions are strictly contraindicated.

Any restrictive diet, any diet, severe restriction of caloric intake leads to slow metabolism, which in the long run will prevent weight loss in the future – on the usual, normal diet.

Quickly dropped pounds as quickly will return – the normal weight loss should be 2-4 kg per month, no more. Therefore, doctors are extremely negative to such and similar diets and recommend for effective and, most importantly, sustainable weight loss on a regular basis, a proper, rational diet, limiting the use of flour, sweets, convenience foods. That is, you should follow the basic principles of a healthy diet, which do not cause such stress to the body as restrictions.

Opinion of a nutritionist

Like any diet, “ladder” can cause a strong stress for the body. Therefore, the question of switching to such a meal plan should be decided in conjunction with a doctor-endocrinologist or nutritionist, taking into account existing pathologies and health problems.

Motivation is also important, because in the middle of the diet is a great temptation to end it, as it is often physically tolerated hard.

Reduction in body weight – about 7-8 kg for five days – is achieved primarily by removing excess fluid from the body and cleansing the intestines. There is a probability of loss of muscle mass (insignificant), which is restored after returning to the usual diet plan. Fat mass goes last.

In addition, the diet is unbalanced and very rigid, which can lead to a deficiency of important vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Therefore, to normalize and maintain weight, it is always better to follow a proper balanced diet and drink enough fluids.
