Penthouse for sale. What the house Lewis Hamilton lived in looks like

Lewis Hamilton is one of the highest paid pilots in the history of Formula 1. According to Dieter Renken, a journalist of the authoritative portal RaceFans, the six-time world champion receives about $ 40 million in the season-2020.

It is not surprising that with such a large fee racer can afford to buy expensive real estate. This includes a luxurious penthouse in New York. However, in early February, the house was put up for sale. This is not the first time Lewis makes an attempt to raise a large sum for the apartment. He already tried to do this in March 2019, but never found a new owner.

What’s inside Hamilton’s penthouse?

The three-story penthouse is housed in a building built in 1882. It is located at 433 Greenwich Street, near the banks of the Hudson River. The luxury red brick building is also said to be home to model Bella Hadid, musical artists Justin Timberlake, Harry Styles and The Weekend, actors Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The building has an elevator, secure lobby, garage, laundry and health club, and a courtyard outside the building. There is a doorman and concierge.

According to the announcement on the website of the real estate company, Hamilton’s apartment (with an area of 1146 square meters!) has 15 rooms. Among them exactly 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. And the master bedroom with gas fireplace has a built-in spa with whirlpool, walk-in closet and a windowed sitting room.

The main floor living room is the centerpiece of the home. It is sort of divided into two separate spaces for relaxing. There are two sofas near the coffee table and several armchairs at the other end of the room. A small black couch sits in the center. The living room with 6-meter high ceilings receives a lot of natural light. You could say that this is the hallmark of the whole house – it has a lot of windows.

The lounge is combined with the dining room, which through sliding doors leads directly to the kitchen. It was custom designed by Christopher Peacock. Hamilton could gather all his loved ones for a meal without hesitation: the extended table seats more than six guests. In addition, the sportsman had the opportunity to spend time with friends and colleagues at the kitchen counter.

Another living room on the second floor is less spacious, but it is just as beautiful as the first. On summer evenings, the Formula 1 driver probably sat on the sofa and admired sunsets from the panoramic window. The view is of the Hudson River.

For business matters and reading, Lewis could retreat to the library or study. Behind a small desk are two chairs for guests and one for the master of the house. One of the walls is traditionally decorated with a painting – judging by the photos, there are plenty of them in the penthouse.

The third floor of the house is a terrace with a small outdoor pool. Its area is as much as 318 square meters. Agree, the pilot had a place to accelerate! By the way, the terrace can be reached both by stairs and private elevator, which serves all three floors of the penthouse.

It is said that, in addition to housing in the United States, Hamilton owns a mansion in the British Kensington and an apartment in Monaco. Well, we can only say that the six-time world champion in the most expensive sport can afford it.
