Nowadays, a cup of coffee has become a kind of ritual, many people cannot wake up and start the day without it. According to the results of a survey conducted by experts of Level Kitchen nutrition service, about 70% drink coffee at least 1-2 times a day, and many more often. About 18% drink this beverage three times a day, and 14% – even more often. And only less than 1% said they don’t drink coffee at all.

There are categories of people who should avoid coffee completely.

Most people drink coffee simply because it tastes good: 59.4% of respondents said so. For 23.4%, a cup of coffee is a necessary boost of energy in the morning. For 9.1% – an integral part of the work regime, and for 2.4% – a way to satisfy hunger.

That said, coffee does have its perks, such as:

  • The presence of antioxidants. This helps to flush out free radicals that contribute to the aging of the body and also helps fight diseases, such as cardiovascular disease.
  • In addition to antioxidants, coffee contains chlorogenic acid, which slows down inflammation in tissues.
  • After coffee, the blood vessels of the brain are dilated, and its frequent consumption helps relieve headaches.
  • Caffeine also stimulates the body and increases efficiency.
