In general, the use of protein bars is quite useful. However, it should be understood that they cannot be the only source of protein, let alone the basis of nutrition. Very often it happens that people in pursuit of a beautiful body begin to eat only protein bars and shakes. As a result, the metabolism only worsens.

Is it possible to lose weight?

Yes. The body needs the protein contained in protein bars as a catalyst for a healthy metabolism and, consequently, to achieve the desired weight. But you have to realize that protein bars come in many different flavors. Many contain sugar, glucose, glucose-fructose syrups, and others. Therefore, those who want to lose weight on protein bars, should choose those in which the number of carbohydrates does not exceed 15 g per 100 g.

Anna: I like, for example, protein bars that also contain healthy fats. Eating pure non-fat protein is a very serious strain on the body. That’s why I recommend accompanying it with healthy fats and dietary fiber. Then we can say that this is close to the ideal composition, and such bars I recommend.

Who should not have protein bars?

Some protein bars contain milk protein and sugar, as well as gluten. Therefore, if a person has an individual intolerance or allergy or adheres to a gluten-free diet, it is necessary to pay attention to the composition and choose bars that suit yourself.

In general, however, there are no restrictions.
