What and how to drink on New Year’s Eve to avoid getting healthy?

The New Year is just around the corner. Those who are diligent about their diet face not only the question of preparing festive dishes, but also the choice of drinks. If you are on a diet and do not know whether you can drink a glass or two at the festive table, exhale: some alcohol in moderation will not harm your figure. We tell you why many nutritionists forbid drinking during weight loss and what you can still afford during the feast without harming your health.

Why can not drink alcohol on a diet?

Almost all weight loss programs prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The dry law is explained very simply. Alcohol is also a source of energy, but it cannot be compared to the energy we get from proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Alcohol calories contain no nutrients, they are completely empty. The energy from drinks will not be deposited as fat, but its excess will lead to overeating. You drink a glass of wine, then have an appetizer – from this comes a calorie surplus. Therefore, we advise you to consume alcohol paired with light appetizers that will not harm your figure. For example, with chicken fillet and vegetables, light salads and seafood. This will allow you to enjoy the evening and not get fat. Forget about mayonnaise and fatty food: in extreme cases, they can provoke an attack of acute pancreatitis.

In European cafes and restaurants always bring an aperitif: wine and cheese. The fact is that drinks up to 15 degrees activate the appetite. If you are sitting on a diet, but for one evening you are ready to move a little away from its rigid framework, red dry is the best solution. It will not only not harm the process of weight loss, but will also have a beneficial effect on health. Wine has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and normalizes blood glucose levels. Within the same Mediterranean diet is allowed to use two glasses of dry wine a day.

Dry wine

Caloric value per 100 ml: 70 kcal.

Dry wine is one of the most non-caloric drinks. But in order not to gain weight, you should not exceed the daily norm of consumption – 140 ml.

Wine is not recommended to drink with high stomach acidity, as it increases the production of hydrochloric acid and can cause heartburn or exacerbation of gastritis.

Beer

Caloric content per 100 ml: 40 kcal.

Such a low calorie content is due to the fact that beer contains only 5-10% alcohol. The basis of the drink is yeast, rich in vitamin B. At the same time, they contribute to rapid weight gain. Therefore, to avoid extra pounds, it is better to drink no more than 350 ml.

Drinks containing sugar in large quantities are empty calories that do not give a feeling of satiety. But thanks to them you can quickly become overweight and additional centimeters in the waist. If you are on a diet and do not want to take risks, you should find an alternative to liqueur or limit the daily dose to 70 ml.

The World Health Organization allows moderate alcohol consumption. For example, 140 ml of wine or 350 ml of beer per day. Therefore, we also recommend you not to get carried away and watch what and how much you drink at the festive table. Remember that excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to your health.
