Why can bruises appear on the body, even if you have not hit?
Have you ever had such a situation that you didn’t hit anywhere, but there is a bruise on your leg? Do not give it special importance, if the case is isolated and nothing else bothers you. But if the appearance of bruises is normal and they are not only on the legs, it is an alarming sign, indicating health problems. In particular, with the vascular system.
With a normal state of blood vessels, bruises do not just appear. Therefore, if such symptoms are detected, you should immediately consult a doctor.
For the normal functioning of the vascular system, it is important that:
- vascular tubes were smooth, well stretched and compressed when the intensity of the blood flow changes;
- the blood has the proper fluidity;
- no cholesterol deposits on the vessel walls.
What can cause sudden bruising?
Lack of vitamins and micronutrients
This is probably the simplest explanation.
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin PP, B3.
- Vitamin E.
- Vitamin P.
- Vitamin B5
- Magnesium
- Calcium
- Potassium
- Zinc
- Copper
With a lack of these vitamins and trace elements reduces the elasticity of the walls of blood vessels, increases their fragility. Most often such bruises appear in the spring, when the manifestations of avitaminosis are the strongest.
And what vitamins are especially lacking in the fall, read in the material at the link.
Lack of platelets
This is a blood disorder in which there is a problem with its coagulation. The localization of bruises in this case is not limited to the legs – they appear on other parts of the body.
To recognize this disease, it is enough to do a blood test. Treatment can only prescribe a doctor.
Decrease in the strength of connective tissue
Bruises in this case can appear even with a slight pressure on the skin. There is an excessive fragility of blood vessels, and their insufficient elasticity. Confirm the diagnosis should be confirmed only in a specialized center. Sometimes a geneticist is required.
If the diagnosis is correct, vascular fragility can often be eliminated with the help of special drugs prescribed by a specialist.
Varicosis
Varicose veins can lead not only to the appearance of bruises, but also to the formation of a vascular mesh.
At the same time there is a feeling of heaviness in the legs, swelling of the limbs, bloating of the veins. When this problem is detected, as a rule, prescribed:
- special drugs that increase the tone of the veins;
- sclerotherapy (gluing of vessels by subcutaneous injection of drugs);
- special knitwear to maintain muscle and vein tone.
Immune system disorders
This disease is caused by a failure of the immune system, in which the cells of blood vessels are perceived as foreign. In this case, the body produces antibodies that destroy the walls of blood vessels. This process is what leads to the formation of sudden bruising.
Glucose imbalance
The appearance of bruises on the body can be caused by a developing glucose imbalance and hence diabetes. Bruises appear because under the influence of excess glucose, blood vessels become more fragile and brittle and blood clotting deteriorates.
This is not the only symptom of diabetes. Read about the others in the article at the link.
Taking certain medications
Also, if bruising appears by itself, it can be a reaction to the use of:
- painkillers;
- antidepressants;
- anti-inflammatory drugs.
The components of such drugs often reduce the viscosity of the blood, which, in turn, can provoke the appearance of bruises.
It is always important to find the true cause of sudden bruising. This will help:
- endocrinologist (to rule out problems with the pancreas, glucose production);
- phlebologist (to rule out problems with the blood).
As preventive measures it is desirable:
- always wear comfortable shoes;
- move more often and change posture when sitting for long periods of time;
- dosage physical and stressful loads;
- adjust the diet;
- if necessary, add the intake of necessary vitamins and trace elements, but necessarily under the supervision of a specialist.
