Nike x Girls Talk

Last weekend Nike and the Girls Talk project launched a series of fall and winter events for girls. Every Saturday, after the traditional morning run, brunches with in-depth conversations on relevant topics are held in a stylish space with a specially prepared menu. Guest speakers are invited to each event to tell their stories and help find answers to questions important to women.

A 5K run with the NRC team begins at 11:07am and brunches are held from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

Admission is free by pre-registration.

Red Bull Stratos

When. October 14 – January 14
Where? Planetarium #1, St. Petersburg

Today an exclusive exhibition from Red Bull Stratos opens in St. Petersburg. It is dedicated to the 7th anniversary of Felix Baumgartner’s jump from the stratosphere, from a height of 38,969.4 meters. Then, on October 12, 2012, the Austrian skydiver was the first in the world to break the sound barrier in free fall.

Visiting Planetarium No. 1, you will be able to see the original capsule and spacesuit that accompanied Felix during his journey to the boundary of the Earth’s atmosphere. And to learn more about how Baumgartner literally descended from heaven to earth, you can watch a movie about the preparation and realization of the jump.

The sixth stage of the Grand Prix of the Russian Drift Series

This weekend Sochi Autodrom will host the sixth round of the Russian Drift Series Grand Prix. The best pilots and the most powerful and colorful sports cars will gather on the famous Formula 1 track to compete in the country’s main drifting competition. One of the most popular squash tournaments of our country will soon gather 170 participants from Russia, USA, Great Britain, Belarus and Ukraine on the courts of Club Moscow. It is absolutely impossible to predict the competition of the game: the strongest players will fight for supremacy till the last.

To the delight of fans and squash enthusiasts, Irina Belyaeva, a multiple champion of Russia and the triumphant winner of last year’s tournament, will appear on the court. The athlete’s highest place in the world ranking is still unattainable for any of her compatriots.

The spectators will have comfortable seats for watching matches on the stands and balconies, online broadcasting, a rest area and a bar with food and drinks. Everyone will also be able to play badminton and table soccer.

Pavlovsky race

Where? Pavlovsky Park, Pavlovsk, St. Petersburg.
Distances: 3 km / 10 km / 21 km / 1 km / 400 m

Traditional race on the half marathon distance will be held in the vicinity of the Northern capital. The organizers of the race invite everyone to run the chosen kilometer along the paths of one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, where the first Russian running club was established in 1888.

The race is not only for adult runners. Children will also be able to compete for first place at distances of 1 km or 400 meters.

X-Waters Malta 2019

When. October 20
Where: Malta, Hola Bay Beach at Ramla Bay Resort.
Distances: 1000 / 2300 / 6000 meters / 200 meters / 50 meters

Urgently looking to escape the fall moping in the city? Hurry up and register for a massive and exciting swim in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea enveloping Malta. The chosen area is so clean and comfortable for swimming that it has already been included in the list of the best European diving spots more than once.

There are very few slots left for adult participants. They will sail the route between the three islands of the archipelago: Gozo, Comino and Malta. There will also be a children’s event: young swimmers will be able to swim 50 or 200 meters in a choice of events. All this in crystal clear and warm water. We are not kidding about the latter – the expected sea temperature off the coast of Malta is 20-23 C.

Distances: 5 km / 15 km / 25 km

What fall can do without an atmospheric trail run? This time the first such race will be held in the city of Cherepovets. The start will be given in a historical place – in the Galitsky estate. Participants who have chosen 15 and 25 km will be able to run across the famous Oktyabrsky Bridge and take the height of “Gritinskaya Gorka”. In addition, the real delights of cross-country running await all runners: forests, marshes, sand, fords, ascents and descents.

Together with other athletes in the start will take part ultramarathoner, organizer of competitions in trailrunning series Golden Ring Ultra Trail Mikhail Dolgiy. On the eve of the race he will give a short lecture on the nuances of trail running in the sports complex “Yubileiny”.
