However, not everything is so simple. David and Victoria had to go through a difficult time. Their marital happiness was threatened.

He fell in love when he saw her on TV.

The stub from the train ticket, on which Victoria Adams, being the lead singer of the Spice Girls, wrote her phone number, David keeps to this day. For the first time he saw the brunette in a clip on TV and just dreamed of a personal meeting.

Soon the young soccer player’s reverie came true. David and Victoria saw each other at one of the parties. Beckham got up courage and invited the girl to the match between Manchester United and Chelsea. To the joy of the athlete Victoria came. February 1997 can be considered the starting point of the couple’s relationship. It was then that the singer handed over that ticket with her contacts.

“She came to see me play in London with her then manager and one of the other Spice Girls, Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm). She’d had a couple of drinks, so I figured why not, I’d try and get her number. We talked for about an hour in the players’ lounge. She actually took the train that day, so she wrote her number down on her railroad ticket, which I still have,” David recounted on the Jimmy Fallon Show.

They are so different

At first glance, what could a society girl and a guy who grew up in a simple English family have in common? David’s parents (father – kitchen fitter, mother – hairdresser) from childhood accustomed him to a modest and moderate life. They considered soccer to be the only chance for their son to make it in the world. Therefore, David already in his youth amazed coaches with his ability to work, chasing the ball on the field until the seventh sweat.

The news of Victoria’s pregnancy finally upset the producer of the Spice Girls. He blamed David Beckham for the collapse of the group.

The birth of a son, wedding and detractors

On March 4, 1999, Victoria and David had a son Brooklyn. And exactly two months later, the couple played a luxurious wedding in an ancient Irish castle.

“It was the first time Victoria and I were put under that kind of pressure in our marriage. Every time we woke up we felt like we weren’t just losing each other, we were drowning. I honestly don’t know how we got through it. Victoria is everything to me, seeing her get hurt was incredibly hard. But we’re fighters. And we had to fight for each other, for our family, for what we had,” the footballer admitted in the documentary.

After the birth of Cruz’s third son, everything returned to normal. In the house Beckham reigned idyll. In 2006, David again asked for Victoria’s hand. After the second wedding, they made themselves tattoos with the inscription “All over again”.

The creation of an empire and a long-awaited daughter
