Is there an age limit for sports? How to start training, if you have not practiced in your youth?

Lying on the couch and browsing social networks, many people dream of doing sports. Not even professional, but for the soul and to maintain health. But they think that it is too late to start, the age is not right and in general. We hasten to assure you that it is never too late to take up sports: neither in 20, nor in 60. The main thing is to do it correctly.

Why is sport important?

Let’s start with the fact that regular exercise at the age of 18 and older increases the chances of good mental and physical health in old age sevenfold. Even simple morning exercise can reduce your risk of vascular disease, diabetes, stroke, and other illnesses.

How to get started?

When a person decides to engage in sports training, he makes the first step on the way to his health. It is recommended that you devote about 2.5 hours a week to exercise.

If you have never exercised regularly, you should not immediately overload the body. Abrupt physical exertion can lead to injuries such as torn joint ligaments, damaged muscle fibers, exacerbation of chronic diseases and more. Exercise should be approached gradually.

In adolescence, the best choice is team sports, which harden not only the body, but also the spirit, as well as increase motivation and interest in activities.

At the age of 20, the body is ready to show the best results in sports. The activity can be any kind of activity. The main thing is to keep a balance between different types of load.

At 50, the body is aging. Therefore, you should not overload it. On the contrary, it’s time to start taking care. Cardio training, yoga, tai chi gymnastics, aqua aerobics are excellent companions at this age.

And what if no sport is not suitable?

Then you can try to do dancing. Modern dances are diverse. Surely you will be able to find the right style. In addition, dancing is not only a great physical activity, but also an important social component of life. Communication, positive emotions – all this helps to improve not only mood, but also health and immunity.
