Fukutsuji Method Exercise – an easy way to make your body beautiful and healthy

The paths to a thin and beautiful waist come in many forms: aerobics, fitness, strength and interval training. There are many options. But what if you can reduce centimeters just by lying down? It sounds like a fairy tale, but this is what they say about the method of Dr. Fukutsuji, who has long studied the body and the process of its development. As a result of his research, he came up with a way to correct posture and get rid of extra centimeters with the help of a static exercise: it was only necessary to lie on a twisted towel. How to perform the exercise correctly?

In each of the positions should be held for five minutes, and repeat the exercises every day, we recommend that you give time to training in the morning. To perform it, you need to lay a mat and prepare a roll of towel. Terry towel (about 1.5 m) should be rolled up, you can additionally fix with rubber bands or laces. The length of the resulting roll should be equal to the width of your back, the height for beginners is suitable small: 5-7 cm, later you can increase. Do not make the roll too high, gradually increase the diameter, but make sure that you were comfortable.

Technique

  • Roll the towel into a roll and put it on the mat.
  • Sit on the mat, and then gently lower yourself onto it so that the towel is under your waist.
  • Extend your arms above your head and place them on the floor, little fingers connected.
  • Legs are extended, the distance between the heels is 10-20 centimeters, and the thumbs are joined.
  • The body is a straight line from the toes to the fingers of the hands.
  • The second position is performed with the same technique, but the roller is placed under the rib cage.
  • The third variant of the exercise involves placing the roller under the neck.

Do not perform the exercise for too long. Five minutes is enough, perhaps two to three minutes will be enough for you to start. Slight discomfort after performing the exercise is acceptable, but in case of severe pain and obvious discomfort you should stop performing it.

Anna Motina: It is strictly forbidden to do this exercise on sports rollers for myofascial release. Their rigidity and diameter are not designed for such positions, you can get injured. It is worth being careful for people with hernias and protrusions, any wrong movement can provoke an exacerbation. Avoid sharp lifts and twists during the exercise, try to first remove the roller, lie just on the floor, then turn on your side, sit down and only then get up.

Contraindications

When performing a direct impact on the spine, so all injuries, diseases and back pain limit the exercise. Do not take risks, it is better to consult a doctor and minimize the likelihood of an unfavorable outcome.Also, this technique is not suitable for colds and feverish conditions, temperature or blood pressure that exceeds the norm.

What are the benefits?

The Japanese physician Fukutsuji, who developed this technique, claimed that it helps to correct posture, restore the position of internal organs, spine, ribs and pelvic bones. This effect is indeed to be expected from the performance, it is achieved due to the correct position in which one finds oneself when performing it.

Also through regular practice of this method one can get rid of spasms, pain in the back and shoulder girdle. One of the noticeable actions is the reduction of body volume and improvement of its quality by reducing swelling, as well as lowering the level of fatigue and improving well-being.

Is it possible to lose weight with this exercise?

The story that this method helps to get rid of extra centimeters, sometimes appears on the Internet. And here it is worthwhile to understand. Will the fat go away and take with it extra kilograms? No. Alas, but this can be achieved only by proper nutrition and physical activity. However, it is too early to discount the Fukutsuji method, it really helps to distribute weight more evenly throughout the body, remove swelling and draw the waist.

Anna Motina: This exercise does not help to lose weight, for this process requires a caloric deficit. It can reduce swelling, especially on the back and around the abdomen. This is due to the fact that while lying on the roll the spine is stretched, the back muscles become less rigid (rigid, immobile), which improves lymph and blood flow.

To summarize: this exercise is a great way to improve posture, get rid of swelling and remove a couple of extra centimeters in volume, but it will not help to achieve a perfect figure. To lose weight, you need to watch your health and exercise. But you can use these techniques as auxiliary exercises.
