Why does Rickard Pint need Paolo Vanoli?

Why Paolo Vanoli needs Ricardo Pinto.

Paolo Vanoli will be revitalizing Spartak in more ways than one. And it’s not just about his assistants. The coach pays attention to all the nuances, which is why the team’s nutritionist has already started working in Moscow. Simply put, a specialist in proper nutrition.

Spartak’s press service reported that Ricardo Pinto is drawing up a program for the players, who will work in Moscow until January 16, and then go to the training camp in the UAE.

We spoke to Elena Doronkina – a specialist in nutriciology, who spoke about the need for this work in professional teams.

“The role of a nutritionist in the life of a soccer team is no less important than a coach,” said Doronkina. – The nutrition of players directly affects their performance on the field, especially on game day. Often, soccer players do not monitor their nutrition as they should, so if someone from the outside monitors their menu, the chances of a successful game increase.

Initially, a nutritionist will analyze the current menu of each of the players, assess the quality of their nutrition and, based on the data obtained, develop a nutrition chart (i.e. menu) for each player. A nutritionist knows exactly how certain foods affect the body, whether they add energy or, on the contrary, take it away. The nutritionist’s main task is to choose a menu that will help the players to achieve the most effective results. Nutriciologist will also control the volume of nutrition of players – because overeating or consumption of unhealthy foods, especially on match day, reduces the quality of the game.

What happens next?

“Some time after the transition of soccer players to a personalized menu nutriciologist will re-analyze and assess the quality of the proposed diet, look at the impact of certain products on the health of the player and, if necessary, adjust his menu, – continues Doronkina. – Nowadays, the presence of a nutritionist in the team of not only soccer players, but also athletes from other sports is not just a tribute to fashion, but also another tool to increase sports performance.

Strange as it may seem, but there are elementary rules that athletes do not observe, so to speak, without outside supervision. For example, not to eat immediately before a match or in general to control your diet more carefully at least on the day of the game. It is important to be mindful of water, drink more juices, eat more soups – all this will increase performance. On the day of the game it is advisable to avoid dairy products, fatty foods, spices and sweets. It is advisable to introduce more fruits and vegetables, light steamed foods, especially fish, eggs, and vegetable juices into the diet.”

Now, if there are reasons for the problems in Spartak’s game, they will definitely not be in the diet. Vanoli has closed that question.
