Home workouts are great for keeping your fitness and activity level up. But it’s important to keep variety in your home workouts, don’t do the same exercises at every workout. Long walks, bike rides or light jogging are great additions.

Chairs or stools

Everyone is sure to have them at home. If you are not lazy and do not use them only for their intended purpose, they will become great helpers in training. You can perform various step-ups, Bulgarian lunges, push-ups or mountain climber exercises.

Water/crush bottles

Don’t be in a hurry to throw away empty beverage bottles. They can be very useful in your home workouts because they are the easiest substitute for dumbbells. You can do all the same exercises with them as with sports equipment. For example, with a five-liter bottle you can squat. And with small ones – from 500 ml to 1 liter – you can do arm exercises: various presses, triceps extensions or biceps flexions.

Sports bag

The bag can be used instead of dumbbells or barbells, filling it, for example, with cereal bags or books. You can do pull-ups, squats or lunges with this “equipment”.

Terry towel or rags

Sliding exercises increase the effect of training, because the muscles have to work harder to keep their balance. To perform such movements, special disks are usually used, but at home they can be replaced with a towel or dry rags. With their help, you can complicate various lunges or push-ups.
